Designer

A graduate from London's Central St.Martins College, Katarina Rimarcikova has worked for high end fashion labels such as Alexander McQueen and Gucci alongside freelance collaborations with various labels and designers.

Setting up her own label in 2006, it could be classed as "...a high-end, pret-a-porter womenswear collection merging into haute couture." The label reflects its design statement and aesthetics inspired by all senses of its creator; psychological theories, philosophy, personal journey, literature and art. An intriguing mix of pleasure and pain. A constant analysis of the unknown.

With respect to the beauty of the female form, Katarina's manipulation of form in her own unique way allows her to present new silhouettes with volume which highlight the sensuality of the female figure.

The designs incorporate contrasts of tailoring and volume to achieve desired new lines and silhouettes that include intriguingly cut coats and tailored jackets which have become her signature pieces.

Every piece, mostly handmade, tells a story in its self; under-layered meanings, hidden conceptual design, many times bi-functional. Technically the collections reflect a sophisticated understanding of fabrics paired with a high end finish.
