Death Becomes Her

On Saturday March 5 2011, attendees gathered at the launch of Katarina Rimarcikova's Autumn/Winter 2011 collection during Paris Fashion Week. Entitled "Death Becomes Her," Katarina took her inspiration for this collection from a friend's transformation from a man into a woman and the tragic journey that ensued. The collection featured a metamorphosis from androgynous trousers and menswear cuts to fluidly draped fabrics and micro skin dresses which accentuate the feminine form.

The show presentation took place in the cool, trendy Some/Things gallery. As always, the invited crowd were treated to champagne reception.
